I am alive... and healing, thank you to all that loved on me and our family

wow- what a wild ride. To go from being what I assumed was healthy to a near death experience- wow is really all I can say. Its great to be home- watching my children laugh- and fight... ahh the joys of being at home. Jess dropped out of school for this semester to assume some of the responsibilities with the boys and Aly. She is a godsend.... Aly is doing great- thanks to Steph- Alex, Wendy, DUH and all that love her... and well Jackson is just great period. Cole weighs 12.5 pounds- so he is doing well- another fatty Jones boy! I cannot nurse- sore subject but he is thriving and that is really all that matters. I still have a way to go... and will hopefully come out a better person- slower, softer and more patient- and love myself first and then others...what a concept. Love to you all Candace

Cole is 7 weeks old- what a ride!!!!

Well on Sunday the 16th of September, Colton will be 7 weeks old. Its been wild- and weird having another newborn in our home. He is quite a demanding little man- with feedings every two hours- yikes....

Jackson loves him- he says " Colton is too cute" and Can I hold him" in a funny Japanese way! He is a spaz and makes all laugh so much...

Aly is still cheering for RJT a Midget team here in Rocklin- its like she is training for the Olympics- games every Saturday and three competitions coming up and if she makes open squad we off to VEGAS baby!!!

Jess just got back from a 10 day trip to the East coast- the SIDS walk by Joanie- and spending time with her family, Philly, Annapolis, Virginia and Maryland, and of course the white house, Capitol etc. She had a great time, and am I ever glad she is home....

Gerald got a job- a real job- yippee- About two minutes from our home with a fortune 500 company- a bunch of hippies- cause we all know how much of a liberal he is...LOL.

I am still having a rough time with he recovery of Colton- 4+ weeks early- blood transfusions, surgery yesterday- I am wiped out! I love being a a new mommy again- but sleep deprivation brutal. I will be home with him until January and then we will find a great sitter- and Jackson will go into a big boy preschool.

G's mom and dad were here for 4+ days- it was great, and my mom and dad are still in Europe- traveling and having a great time, today in Rocklin is the RELAY FOR LIFE so G and Jeff, Nati and all the kids went to celebrate for her, and do the survivors lap in honor of her fight....

Hope all is well with you- love and blessings- Candace and Company

Here we all are... love to you all

birth- my helpers,my parents and my sons...

baby colton is here- and I am so freakin tired!!!!!

well- its been a wild ride for the past 4+ weeks.

As most of you know we went into labor- yikes thats what I said- the me that has never gone into labor- finally did with my 5th- oh and by the way LAST child. It was the weekend of Gerald's 20th High School reunion- imagine that! I was in labor the whole weekend and did not know it!

We came home from Alameda that Sunday late afternoon and I was feeling crappy- so we called Dr. Haskins- who said come to the hospital- little did we know that we would be having a c section 1.5 hours later... I wanted mascara and a pedicure! I do not do labor or unplanned c sections- she laughed- I cried!

Colton was born after a lot of poking for the spinal at 7:29 PM on 7/29/2007. He weighed 6 LBS and 12OZS and was 18.5 inches long,

All was well until he started to gurgle... he ingested my amniotic fluid- cause you all saw my belly it was so small- I actually had 5X the normal amount of fluid. So off to the nursery he went- again I cried...

Cole was in the nursery Sunday night- and all day Monday- I was miserable trying to get pain under control- to no avail... Tuesday they walked in and told me that they were sending him to downtown UC DAVIS NICU- I discharged myself and off we went- again, I cried! This is exactly why did not want him out at 36 weeks, we went through this with Jack too!

Besides the edema- calves the size of a SOFA and being wiped out- we stayed at he local Marriott hotel next door- thanks dad! so we could be close to him- and nurse and pump... it was a really ROUGH 8 days and on 08/07/07 we brought our little man home( 5 llbs12 ozs).I cried to my therapist and friends and family!!

The first week was rough- I was trying to heal- bed rest yeah right- and trying to get over the fact that Colton look exactly like Zack- I attached a photo- my son who passed when he was 2 months old from SIDS on 02/10/1999. I could not sleep- and add to that that I had not slept for about a week before he was born- I was now in day 18+ without sleep- not a very pretty picture! rational I was not! I cried a lot!!!

We are now into week 4- I have had the recovery from hell- edema- constipation, lack of sleep, anemia( hospitalized) I am FULLY COOKED!!!!! and NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love him- and the kids- jackson loves his baby Colton- wakey wakey baby colton is all he says- that and " he pooped mom' and he now calls me Auntie Candace, great talk about an identity crisis after the birth of a new baby. Jess and Aly have been AMAZING with him- and with me as well- bless them both. Gerald has been great as well - I have scared the crap out him a few times post baby with all the problems- so we are looking forward to getting better- fast.

Wendy,Annette, Brandy, Kara, River, Carol, - all my dear friends that have been coming by and calling- and to all those that have been feeding us- we love you all ....

As you can see the name of the BOG has changed- JESSALYJACKCOLE- no more babies....

Love you all

update on the crazy fun family.... 35+ weeks pregnant

Greetings from watermelon belly- ho ha ha... hope all is well. We are in the home stretch- 37 days to go- yippee.... I tried to convince her to take him early- nope- unless I can't eat or breathe- which means if I am dead...LOL With all the weight I lost I look like I have an alien in me- its huge. I am on bed rest- HA thats funny as I can't even sit still, but I am so sore stallion and pubic bone = pain, so I am taking good care of me. I am officially off work- Kara is taking over- and I feel so good about that...
Colton is still flipping around like a mad man- I hope he is tired when he is born. Jess and G will be in the operating room with me- I am so ready to meet him!

Jess- well she is awesome, just bought a new laptop- so Aly is happy too cause she gets Jessica's old one. She is amazing as I need so much help these days...
Her and Jack and bonded for life!

Aly is awesome, busy with friends, tumbling to get her ready for cheer which starts in two weeks- 5 days a a week...aaak

G is amazing- so different this pregnancy- so supportive and protective- less fear I think. He works too much- and is still trying to get on with the Union- it sucks...

Jackson is in his BIG BOY BED and loving it- he and Cole will share a room after Cole moves from our room, he loves his brother- now at least.

My mom got another clean bill of health- 1 year since any treatment has been done- remission- praise GOD!She is trying to schedule having her PORT taken out before her and dad leave for Europe at the end of August...

Hi there, Hope this finds you all well... we are at the 32+ week stage and baby Colton is doing well- his arrival date is August 17,2007- so about 7 weeks away- yippee. I am measuring at 42 weeks already- so we will see how far this skin can stretch!I am so excited to finally meet him- I have been pregnant for 19+ years it seems...last baby, so we ordered a belly cast and paint and henna paints so we can capture this bump- forever!!! Jess is doing great- enrolled in a math class for the summer- she is groaning behind me as we speak... I hate math! she bought her very first BRAND NEW CAR! We named it Ella, she is in love! She is s true blessing to me and G, Aly and Jack- and planning a road trip in July with Aly and going to Washington DC for the east Coast SIDS walk in September- what a dream! Aly rocks- she made RJT cheer squad for 2007-2008 and practice begins in July. She just got back from church camp and came home a new kid- bless her! she is as busy as ever- with friends, family, water slides, sleepovers, aaak we miss her! G is still driving- Union is taking forever to pull operators out- so to Oregon, Washington and Idaho weekly- we miss him a lot! He is being great to me during this pregnancy- and like me can hardly wait to meet Cole. His 20 year class reunion is at the end of July- when I am 20 months pregnant so we will see how that goes, might just drop him off! Jackson- well what a complete joy he is- he calls Jess TIDDY and calls a truck a "BIG COCK"- nice sentence! He is so big and speaks like he is 5- jumps on the trampoline like a gymnast and makes us all laugh... he is really into CARS and NEMO right now- just keep swimming! Mom is still in complete remission with almost a year now of no treatment-we feel blessed! HUGS to you all.... Candace and family

( that and I am bored and tired of being in bed)

We are all doing well, despite the setbacks. Mom and dad are doing well- just got back from a trip to Florida where they drove through rain puddles like 16 year olds- I hope G and I are like that when we have been married for 45+ years!
We are preparing for mom to work hard- me mom until Colton's debut in August- right now the date has been set for 8/17 in the morning- thats if this old body and he hold out that long... G is TRYING so hard to get a real job with the Union beginning soon- he is tired of the overnighters to Washington- and we miss him

so next week its back to work- we have lost so many friends - and family in the past 3+ months- Alys grandpa Jim- her Grandma Taylor- Trevor our 6 month old hero and now we are dealing with our dear friend Lloyd and his bone cancer- and three weeks ago aunt Martha in Avila beach- getting old SUCKS!
